Simon Vance
Senior Evaluator
Simon is responsible for assessing civic and electoral programs and helping shape the funding recommendations that drive the network's impact. He designs measurement frameworks — including randomized controlled trials and A/B testing — to isolate causal impact and guide resource allocation, translating those findings into clear, strategic recommendations for donors and partners. He brings a decade of experience as a senior strategist and analyst on some of the country's highest-profile campaigns.
Prior to F4D, Simon served as Senior Analytics Advisor on the campaign supporting Proposition 50 in California, where he built the testing, modeling, and measurement infrastructure. He advised the DNC in 2024 on a program to counter third-party vote siphoning, designing the analytical operation from scratch across multiple states. Earlier in his career, he served as a Senior Advisor on the Terry McAuliffe gubernatorial campaign in Virginia and the campaign to stop the recall of Governor Gavin Newsom and as Chief Analytics Officer for Cory Booker's 2020 presidential campaign.
Simon graduated from Boston University and lives in Fort Greene, Brooklyn, with his wife and dog.
