Email and Anti-Spam Policy

Focus for Democracy Action sends email only to individuals who have provided their email address to us and have requested, consented to, or otherwise knowingly agreed to receive communications from us. We do not purchase, rent, trade, harvest, or obtain email addresses from third-party mailing lists for the purpose of sending unsolicited email. We do not add individuals to our email list solely because their address appears on a partner’s, vendor’s, or another organization’s mailing list.

We prohibit our staff, volunteers, contractors, vendors, partners, supporters, and other representatives from promoting Focus for Democracy Action or focus4democracy.org through unsolicited bulk email, spam, or other unsolicited electronic communications. We investigate reports of misuse and may terminate relationships with individuals or organizations that violate this policy. We will cooperate with internet service providers, email service providers, and anti-abuse organizations as appropriate.

Emails sent by Focus for Democracy Action identify us as the sender and include a working method to unsubscribe from future marketing communications. Unsubscribe requests are honored immediately or as quickly as technically practicable, and unsubscribed addresses are suppressed from future marketing communications. We also maintain list-hygiene practices designed to identify and remove or suppress invalid addresses, bounced messages, unsubscribes, and spam complaints.
